🍡 The DANGO CUP 🏆

Updated: Mar 11, 2020

Here is the updated information (the changes are written in red)

<TOURNAMENT METHOD>

  • Setting on "Gastronomy" only

  • We will have 4 groups with 4 players (16 players in total) *explained below*

  • Create table as turn-based and if all players are online they can finish in realtime if they want to

The highest ELO player in the group will create the table.

When you create a table, please write "Dango Cup Group XX" in the description.

  • Each group plays 3 games.

  • The scoring will be as the following:

1st = 4 VP / 2nd = 3 VP / 3rd = 2 VP / 4th = 1 VP

Tie: 1st = 3.5 VP / 1st = 3.5 VP / 3rd = 2 VP / 4th = 1 VP

1st = 4 VP / 2nd = 2.5 VP / 2nd = 2.5 VP / 4th = 1 VP

1st = 4 VP / 2nd = 3 VP / 3rd = 1.5 VP / 3rd = 1.5 VP

  • Add all the VP you have gained, and the top 2 players with most VP in each group will be able to join the semi-final competition.

Tie breaker for 2nd: player with higher actual total scores (ex.87+82+79+90)

  • The following competitions (semi-final & final) will look like this:

3 games + same scoring as above

<COMPETITORS & GROUP>

Regarding the “random” group or not, I agree with both sides. So, I decided to line up the players in order of earliest comment on participation. And as you can see below, I numbered from 1 to 4 and made groups.

So, the groups were made randomly, however, looking at the ELO, I think the outcome is somehow similar to what the non-random groups suggested.

If you have any other suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to tell me! Please post a comment on BGA↓↓
